Safe Acetaminophen Dosing For Infants And Children
This guide will help you give your child the right amount of medicine to help them feel better, faster. When possible, use your child’s weight to find the right dose. If not, use age to determine the right amount. Never give your child more than 5 doses in 24 hours and ask your family doctor or pediatrician which product is right for your child.
mL = milliliter tsp = teaspoonful
NOTE: Single dose may be repeated every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Do not give more than 5 doses per day.
Caution: If fever persists for more than 3 days, pain for more than 5 days or new symptoms appear, talk to your doctor.
*IMPORTANT: Contrary to pediatric TYLENOL® products sold in the US, in Canada, Children’s TYLENOL® Suspension Liquids are NOT the same concentration as Infants’ TYLENOL® Concentrated Drops. Dosing instructions above are for Canadian products only.
