Infants & Children: How To Relieve Flu Symptoms
Most kids get restless when they’re sick, but children with the flu need lots of bed rest to help their bodies fight the virus and recover. Here are four things you can do to help them relax and regain strength:
Give them extra fluids to keep them hydrated. Feverish children get considerably dehydrated from sweating.
Fix light, easy-to-digest meals. Some good options are rice, crackers, toast, soup, and bananas. Children with the flu are often not very hungry, but their bodies still need nourishment to fight the illness.
Salt-water nose drops and a humidifier help with nasal congestion.
Infants’ or Children’s TYLENOL® Fever and Sore Throat Pain can help relieve their fever.
